IMG Roadmap Series #38 : Dr. Wyncel Chan (Pediatrics)

It may feel like we have been rounding on the pediatrics wards for a minute, right?

But maybe it is because pediatricians are the kindest people ever. They are always willing to care for the next IMG who is coming up.

What I like about this series it that, as an IMG, even if you do not want to match into a particular specialty you can always learn how one IMG tackled the same challenges you should anticipate. I caution you to take those lessons and apply into your field.

Dr. Wyncel Chan, is currently a 3rd year Pediatric Resident in Flint, Michigan. She just recently celebrated her residency graduation before she will head out to Indiana as an attending pediatrician.

She is originally from Vancouver, Canada and went to Saba University in the Caribbean to complete medical school. Despite battling lupus and experiencing a gap year that caused her to complete medical school in 5 years, she is coming out of all of this victorious with diploma in hand!
