IMG Roadmap Series #32: Dr. Huda Arif (Internal Medicine & Nephrology).
Today’s guest hails from Pakistan and is one that can break down the nephron like no other.
I always advice IMGs that once you get into residency, fellowship in my opinion depends 100 percent on you! At that point unless you still have a visa limitation, it is much easier to navigate. You have experience and you fully understand the system. Overall much less hassle. Our guest today affirms that, because she did it.
From Dubai to Pakistan to Dallas, TX today she explains how:
She Matched into Internal Medicine
She matched into nephrology
Tips for IMGs studying for the USMLE from home and worried about sticking to a schedule
What she is doing to give back in the world of nephrology
How she coaches fellow into the business side of medicine
You can listen to the full episode where ever you listen to your favorite stories.
